The Final Phase of BF DhammaHome Project

The BF DhammaHome is now nearing completion with the receipt of the Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP), enabling us to move ahead with the final preparations. On 10 September, our Buddha Rupa was respectfully relocated from the old premises to the new center, followed by the remaining items on 13 September, thanks to the kind efforts and support of our dedicated volunteers. With this transition complete, we are now preparing for the official opening and the first service at the new BF DhammaHome on 21 September, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to celebrate this joyous occasion together.

BF DhammaHome Renovation Update – 10 May 2025

We are delighted to share the latest progress on the BF DhammaHome project!
On 9 May 2025, we had the honour of welcoming Ajahn Brahmali to the site. He expressed his happiness and support for the ongoing development, which has come a long way since its early phases.
Key Construction Highlights:
Level 1 Classrooms: Two classrooms on the ground floor are taking clear shape. Partitioning and internal works are in progress, with electrical and ceiling infrastructure already visible. The space is being carefully configured to support future teaching and community use.
Dhamma Hall (Level 2): The Dhamma Hall on the second floor is undergoing significant transformation. Structural works and ceiling installations are in progress. The spacious hall is being prepared to serve as a central space for meditation, talks, and gatherings.
Exterior: While not yet completed, the exterior is already taking shape. The emerging building façade gives a strong impression of the final architectural design and aesthetic.
We extend our gratitude to all donors, volunteers, and the construction team for making this possible. The dream of a vibrant DhammaHome is becoming real—step by step, brick by brick.
Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the final phase of completion!

BF DhammaHome Renovation Update Q4 2024

Our building project is making fantastic progress as we enter an exciting new phase! The construction of the air well and second floor is now underway, marking a major step forward in bringing our vision to life.
In December 2024, we completed the front wall of the building, a significant milestone that gives a glimpse of what’s to come. The foundation and ground floor have been fully completed, providing a rock-solid base for the rest of the structure. We’ve also finished the lift shaft, ensuring the building will be easily accessible to all. To top it off, the structural reinforcement is almost complete, paving the way for the upper floors to take shape soon.
Thanks to the unwavering dedication of our contractors, the tireless support of our volunteers, and the generous contributions from our community, this dream is becoming a reality. Every step forward brings us closer to creating a beautiful space for learning, practice, and connection. Stay with us as we continue this exciting journey!

We are thrilled to share some updates on the BF DhammaHome project! The building renovation is well underway – the asbestos has been safely cleared, hoarding raised, internal walls knocked down, piling successfully completed, and the foundation strengthened.
Right now, the team is hard at work laying underground utilities, installing piping and wiring, and covering up the air well. Each milestone brings us closer to our vision, and we are on track to complete this phase by December 2024.
Thank you all for your continued support and dedication. Stay tuned for more exciting updates as we move forward together on this inspiring journey!
About Buddhist Fellowship

Buddhist Fellowship
Buddhist Fellowship ("BF") has been committed to serving the community by offering the Dhamma to all for the last 33 years. Our activities and membership have grown tremendously and it is time to find a permanent home of our own so that we can focus more on propagating the Dhamma and continue serving you. The Buddha's path of peace and joy cannot be ignored in these turbulent times. Come and share in this endeavour to bring humanity to a higher level of development. You can be a part of this!

Our Contribution to the Buddhist Communities
Over the years, BF has been doing our part in helping the Buddhist communities in Dhamma propagation. We have been supporting them in many ways, including the use of our premises for their activities.
Your generous donations to the BF DhammaHome project will continue to help us in supporting the Dhamma propagation work.

Ajahn Brahm
Even the Buddha, though unattached, had many places (centres) where people could go to hear Him teach. It is now time that the Buddhist Fellowship has its own centre in which it may grow and serve, and develop free from the constraints of being within another's premises...

Bhante Rathanasara
I wish every success for the Flagbearers of the Buddhist Fellowship in their great venture for a new Dhamma Home. With bigger premises, more people can come together to practise the Dhamma.

Bhante Buddharakkhita
The Buddha said: one who gives a dwelling place, gives all. And one who gives the Dhamma, gives immortality. Accordingly, supporting the new Dhamma Home at the Buddhist Fellowship of Singapore is a golden opportunity for us to “give all” to such a rare place where people will live and practise the Dhamma in order to realize ultimate peace.

Sylvia Bay
I would like to congratulate BF for its bold decision to buy a piece of land to build its own home. I have no doubt that this undertaking will significantly advance the cause of Dhamma propagation in Singapore...
